In Uttarakhand, Reserve Bank of India Governor Sanjay Malhotra today visited a financial literacy camp organized for members of self-help groups from Bhopal Pani, Badasi, and Soda-Saroli gram panchayats in Dehradun district. On the occasion, he encouraged people to enhance financial awareness, promote prosperity and long-term financial stability and take advantage of various pension and insurance-related social schemes of the Central Government. Mr. Malhotra called upon officials of the Financial Literacy Centre to make greater efforts to educate all sections of society, especially those living in remote and underprivileged areas, so as to ensure financial inclusion.
