British Lingua on Thursday launched a statewide social campaign titled “From Labour to Leadership—Let’s Build a Professional Bihar,” calling for a shift from a labour-driven identity to a professionally empowered, skill-based ecosystem. An awareness march was also held in the Boring Road area to engage the public and spread the message of the initiative.
The initiative, titled “From Labour to Leadership—Let’s Build a Professional Bihar,” has been spearheaded by British Lingua, which also organised a public outreach march to engage citizens and spread awareness about the campaign’s objectives.
Addressing students, educators, and media at the institute’s premises, noted author and Managing Director Dr Birbal Jha said Bihar’s core challenge is not a lack of talent but limited exposure, confidence, and professional skills. He emphasised that transforming labour into leadership requires focused training in communication and skill development.
Dr Jha outlined a four-phase roadmap for the campaign, beginning with awareness and mobilisation, followed by skill and communication training, professional readiness and placement, and finally leadership and entrepreneurship development. He said the initiative aims to train thousands of young people in its initial phase, with plans to expand across districts.

Highlighting the importance of communication, he noted that confidence in expression plays a vital role in accessing opportunities in education, employment, and entrepreneurship. The campaign also seeks to curb migration driven by low-skilled jobs by promoting self-reliance and professionalism within the state.
British Lingua, with over three decades of experience, will serve as the knowledge and training partner, extending its programmes through community outreach and institutional collaboration.
Guest of honour Prof Manoj Kumar Mishra stressed that leadership is built on hard work, skill, communication, and dedication, urging youth to contribute to nation-building. Other speakers echoed similar sentiments, calling for a collective effort to build a skilled, self-reliant, and “Professional Bihar.”
