Asian Markets Dip Amid Caution; European Indices Trade Mixed

Most Asian markets edged down today amid a cautious stance as investors waited for further developments in trade negotiations, as well as progress in the US-Iran nuclear deal. Japan’s Nikkei dipped almost one percent, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index declined almost 0.8 percent, South Korea’s Kospi Index fell over 0.7 percent, and China’s Shanghai Composite index lost almost 0.7 percent.

Conversely, Singapore’s Straits Times Index added over half a percent. Major European indices were trading mixed in the intraday trade. London’s FTSE added 0.3 percent up, and France’s CAC 40 fell 0.1 percent. Meanwhile, Germany’s DAX was trading flat when reports last came in.
