Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that India is steadily progressing towards self-reliance in defence manufacturing by significantly reducing imports and encouraging indigenous production. During a high-level seminar held in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar today, the Defence Minister highlighted that over 500 defence-related products are currently being manufactured in the country, reflecting the strong growth of the domestic defence industry. He stated that the country has begun exporting its defence equipment, with exports rising from 600 crore rupees to 2,400 crore rupees.
