The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has issued a strong statement condemning the recent military actions by the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling them a violation of international sovereignty and a threat to global peace. The Board urged the United Nations to intervene immediately to secure a ceasefire and prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
AIMPLB spokesperson Dr. S.Q.R. Ilyas said the developments were particularly alarming as they occurred during ongoing diplomatic efforts over Iran’s nuclear program, reportedly facilitated by the Sultanate of Oman. He questioned the sudden halt in negotiations by the United States, followed by Israeli strikes, suggesting that the peace process may not have been pursued in good faith.
Dr. Ilyas also expressed deep concern over the reported martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, calling it a grave violation of the UN Charter. The Board warned that the growing polarization among global powers could destabilize the region and trigger wider humanitarian and economic crises. The statement, issued by Office Secretary Dr. Waqar Uddin Latifi, appealed for urgent and decisive international action.
