Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu has said that the Centre is preparing plans to introduce new flight services from Tirupati to Gulf destinations and Shirdi.
Addressing the media in Tirupati today, Mr. Naidu said the proposal is part of efforts to enhance connectivity from the Tirupati International Airport, which handles significant passenger traffic throughout the year owing to the steady influx of pilgrims. He said, expanding international and domestic links from Tirupati would benefit devotees and other travellers while strengthening the region’s air network.
Referring to the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Minister said the aviation sector has been accorded priority, with a focus on infrastructure development and improved passenger amenities at airports across the country.
