In the Forex market, the rupee today ended five paise lower to settle at 84 rupees and 33 paise against the US dollar, as the greenback strengthened following US President-elect Donald Trump’s announcement to levy a 25 percent tariff on all products coming from Canada and Mexico and an additional 10 percent tariff on imports from China. The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, is trading at 106.77 in intra-day trade.
