Scindia Unveils ‘Innovate to Transform’ as Theme for India Mobile Congress 2025

Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region,  Jyotiraditya  Scindia, today announced the theme ‘Innovate to Transform’ for the 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, to be held from October 8 to 11 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi.

The annual flagship event, jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), is Asia’s largest digital technology forum. IMC 2025 aims to build on its legacy by fostering industry collaboration, showcasing cutting-edge innovations, and addressing critical opportunities and challenges in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

In his address, Scindia emphasized that innovation has been central to India’s transformative journey, and that IMC 2025 will serve as a key platform for domestic industries, international investors, global manufacturers, and Indian consumers to engage and explore the future of digital technology.

“The theme ‘Innovate to Transform’ articulates the belief that innovation is the guiding compass of our progress,” Shri Scindia said, highlighting how the event aligns with India’s vision of inclusive and technology-driven growth.

Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Chairman DCC and Secretary (Telecom), DoT, also spoke on the occasion, underlining the Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat by 2047’, where technology will be the backbone of development and transformation.

IMC 2025 is expected to attract over 1.5 lakh visitors from more than 150 countries, with 400+ exhibitors and partners, 7,000+ global delegates, and over 800 speakers participating in more than 100 conference sessions.

The flagship startup programme ASPIRE, introduced in 2023, will return this year with an expanded showcase of over 500 startups, connecting them with 300+ investors, incubators, accelerators, and venture capitalists through mentorship, live pitches, and networking sessions.

Attendees will witness 1,000+ use cases featuring emerging technologies including 5G, 6G, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), electronics manufacturing, and green technologies. The event will also focus on sustainability and digital inclusion as core pillars of future growth.

Reflecting on last year’s success with over 1.75 lakh attendees from 120+ countries, IMC 2025 is poised to be bigger and more impactful, reinforcing India’s position as a global digital innovation hub.

On this occasion, the Department of Telecommunications also announced the winners of the prestigious Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Telecom Excellence Awards 2024, recognizing exceptional contributions in the fields of Telecom Innovation, Skilling, Services, Manufacturing, and Applications.
