Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple infrastructure and industrial projects worth around Rs 9,400 crore at Hyderabad in Telangana.

These projects collectively aim to establish the state as a major manufacturing hub while also strengthening connectivity, generating employment, improving logistics efficiency, enhancing safety, and providing a better travel experience for people.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi said, India is effectively managing the energy crisis arising from the West Asia conflict due to the steps taken by the Centre, adding that the restrained use of fuel is the need of the hour. He said imported petroleum products should be used judiciously in accordance with genuine necessity, which will help save foreign exchange and reduce the adverse impact of the ongoing conflict. 

Highlighting India’s remarkable ascent to the top tier of global solar power producers in recent years, the Prime Minister noted unprecedented progress in ethanol blending within petrol while detailing the government’s sequential energy diversification strategy. He outlined how initial emphasis on universal LPG coverage has evolved toward promoting cheaper piped natural gas distribution and advancing CNG-based systems nationwide. Acknowledging that such comprehensive initiatives enable India to navigate the current global energy crisis.

Mr Modi said, today, India is advancing on ‘reforms express’, and also building modern infrastructure. Mr Modi said, he will like to assure every family in Telangana that Centre will continue to work with greater speed to realise your dreams.

Among the major projects unveiled today include, PM MITRA Park in Warangal, also known as the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park. Built at an estimated cost of around 1,700 crore rupees, it is the country’s first fully operational PM MITRA Park and is aimed at creating an integrated textile ecosystem under the Centre’s “5F” vision – spanning farm, fibre, factory, fashion and foreign markets.

Recalling India’s historical prominence as a global economic power when textile industries played a transformational role, the Prime Minister affirmed government’s commitment to revitalizing this strategic sector through contemporary initiatives. He added that the PM MITRA Park in Warangal will provide new momentum to the country’s textile industry, with participating units in the park set to benefit from multiple central government schemes aimed at boosting manufacturing and exports. He said, the park will create employment for a large number of people.

The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the the four-laning of National Highway-167 between Gudebellur and Mahabubnagar as part of the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic Corridor, and the development of the Zaheerabad Industrial Area in Sangareddy district.

The Prime Minister also flagged off several railway and logistics projects, including sections of the Kazipet-Vijayawada rail multi-tracking corridor, the Kazipet Rail Under Rail Bypass, and a new Greenfield Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants (POL) terminal in Hyderabad. 

Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.

Later, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Sindhu Hospital, a state-of-the-art, cancer-focused multi-super speciality quaternary care not-for-profit institution in Hyderabad. Mr Modi in a social media post, termed it a laudable effort to improve healthcare infrastructure in the city and surrounding areas. He said, the emphasis on integrating latest technology and innovation by the hospital team is appreciable.

Spread across 2.1 million square feet with 18 floors, the hospital has 1,500 beds, more than 150 doctor consultation rooms and 29 advanced operation theatres. Comprehensive care at the hospital spans chemotherapy, radiation therapy, cancer surgeries, bone marrow transplants, advanced critical care and over 33 super specialities, supported by cutting-edge diagnostics, modern laboratory and blood centre facilities.
