Under the guidance of the All India Terapanth Mahila Mandal, the Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Delhi West, organized “Shri Utsav – A Step Towards Self-Reliance” at the J.P. Siddharth Hotel, Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi, in a grand, dignified, and vibrant atmosphere.
The event emerged as an inspiring initiative dedicated to women’s empowerment, self-reliance, and entrepreneurship.
The programme was inaugurated by Mrs. Suman Nahata, National President of the All India Terapanth Mahila Mandal, by ceremonially cutting the ribbon. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Kanhaiyalal Patwari, Chairman of KLJ Group of Industries.
Distinguished guests included Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha); Mr. Harish Khurana, Member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly; Mr. Virendra Babbar, Director and President, Karol Bagh; Mr. Ram Avtar Kila, Founder President of Rajasthan Foundation, Delhi; and Mr. Lalit Garg, President of Sukhi Parivar Foundation.
Addressing the gathering, Member of Parliament Ms. Bansuri Swaraj said, “Providing opportunities to women is not merely a social responsibility; it is the cornerstone of nation-building. Initiatives such as ‘Shri Utsav’ give new direction to women’s confidence, talent, and economic independence. When women become self-reliant, families become stronger, society becomes progressive, and the nation reaches new heights. This platform offers women a golden opportunity to showcase their abilities and give wings to their aspirations.”
Mrs. Chanda Dungarwal, President, and Mrs. Manisha Jain, Secretary of Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Delhi West, warmly welcomed all chief and distinguished guests with a traditional tilak ceremony.
Among those present on the occasion were patron members of the All India Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Mrs. Sayer Baingani and Mrs. Pushpa Baingani; Joint Secretary Mrs. Archana Bhandari; Delhi-U.P. In-charge Mrs. Sunita Jain; Executive Members Mrs. Preeti Ghosal, Mrs. Sunita Dungarwal, Mrs. Rajul Manot, Mrs. Manju Bhutoria, Mrs. Samta Bhutoria, Mrs. Sanskriti Bhandari, and Mrs. Chandana Baradia, along with several eminent personalities.

Mr. Vimal Baingani, President of Jain Shwetambar Terapanthi Sabha, Delhi, attended the programme along with his team. The presence of presidents and secretaries of all four Delhi Mahila Mandals, as well as office-bearers of various regional sabhas, further enhanced the dignity of the event.
In her address, National President Mrs. Suman Nahata highly appreciated the initiative and remarked that such programmes would prove to be milestones in making women self-reliant. She, along with her team, visited and reviewed the entire exhibition.
The primary objective of “Shri Utsav” was to inspire women towards self-reliance, provide recognition to their talents, and offer women entrepreneurs a strong platform to expand their businesses. The exhibition featured 33 attractive stalls set up by women entrepreneurs, showcasing handcrafted products, apparel, home décor items, food products, and a variety of other useful commodities.
On this occasion, Mrs. Chanda Dungarwal and Mrs. Manisha Jain elaborated on the various schemes and service projects being undertaken by the Terapanth Mahila Mandal. All the guests highly appreciated the organization’s efforts in the fields of service, organization, and self-reliance, and assured their continued support and guidance in the future.
Among the various stalls displayed at the exhibition, those presented by Mrs. Samta Ji, Mrs. Mamta Kothari, and Mrs. Suman Begwani received special recognition as the “Best Stalls.”
The event was coordinated by Mrs. Chandana Baradia, Mrs. Madhu Ranka, Mrs. Suman Baingwani, and Mrs. Bhavana Nahata, while the co-coordinators were Mrs. Rachna Surana, Mrs. Urmila Mehta, Mrs. Saroj Phulfagar, and Mrs. Pooja Singhi. Special support for the event was extended by sponsors Mrs. Kiran Devi and Mrs. Ritu Dungarwal.
All exhibitors participating in the exhibition were honoured with trophies by Mr. K. L. Jain, President of the Acharya Shri Mahashraman Delhi Pravas Committee. The felicitation ceremony concluded with a strong message celebrating the enthusiasm, hard work, and creativity of women entrepreneurs.
“Shri Utsav” emerged as a significant and inspiring initiative towards awakening women’s potential and contributing to the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
