The Iranian Navy has once again warned the United States against shipping interference at the Strait of Hormuz and adjoining areas, emphasizing that foreigners have no stake in the strategic waterway linking the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman, according to IRNA.
In a statement on Thursday, the IRGC Navy noted that the US military actions at the Strait of Hormuz will not only draw a “crushing response” from Iran but will also seriously disrupt the process of gradual reopening of the waterway and jeopardize the interests of countries economically dependent on it.
It further stated that transit capacity under Iranian supervision over the past two weeks has reached approximately 50 percent of pre-war levels, adding that the transit capacity is gradually expanding for vessels that obtain authorization from the IRGC Navy and strictly adhere to security protocols while traversing the designated routes.
Accusing the US of “adventurism and interference” in determining traffic routes through the strategic waterway, the IRGC explicitly declared in the statement that “foreigners have no stake in the Strait of Hormuz.”
The IRGC Navy also pointed to the historic and unprecedented funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, saying that the astonishing turnout and the procession of tens of millions of people across Iran and Iraq to bid farewell to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei demonstrated the end of the era of bullying by hegemonic powers.
According to the statement, salutations to the brave warriors of Islam, who, by delivering a crushing response to the aggressive and child-killing US military, proved that the outcome of battle is determined not by weaponry, but by the power of faith.
Earlier on Thursday, the IRGC launched missile and drone strikes against key infrastructure and facilities at US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain after the United States violated the ceasefire by targeting multiple locations in Iran’s southern coastal provinces as well as two bridges leading to the holy city of Mashhad in eastern provinces.
