Benchmark domestic equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading higher as Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the Budget 2025-26 in Lok Sabha. The 30-share BSE Sensex gained 302 points, almost 0.4 percent, to 77,803, and the NSE Nifty50 added 100 points, almost 0.43 percent, to 23,608, when reports last came in.
The broader market at the Bombay Stock Exchange was also trading in positive territory. The Mid-Cap index rose over 0.4 percent and the Small-Cap index increased almost 0.6 percent, a short while ago.
