New Green Lawn Public School, Bhangel won the trophy of the 14th Noida Basant Mahotsav.
The event was organized by the Society for Sports and Cultural Advancement (SSCA). The school performed a spectacular Tamil dance on Om Namo Shivaya, which received a lot of applause from the audience. Apart from the winning trophy, the winning school was presented with gold medals, special certificates and silver coins in memory of late Shiv Kumar Tyagi and Urmila Tyagi. In the NGO category, the competent school, Nithari was awarded the first place trophy.
Children from 20 schools/NGOs from Delhi-NCR participated in the 14th Inter School Folk Dance Competition held at NEA Auditorium, Sector 6. In this prestigious competition, children presented folk dances related to Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. While Ms. Kalpana Bhushan, Ankita Bisht and Pragya Bhardwaj played the role of judges in the competition.
There were two categories, school and NGO, in the competition. The champion in the school category was won by Toffee New Green Lawn Public School, Bhangel. New Noida Public School, Sector 93 won the second trophy. His children were awarded silver medals. The team of Mahamaya Girls Inter College came third. He was awarded a trophy and a bronze medal.
The first trophy in the NGO category was won by Saksham NGO Nithari. At the same time, the runner-up trophy was captured by the Yugdhara Foundation. Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA) president Vipin Malhan honoured the children by giving away trophies, medals and certificates. The SSCA was provided a free auditorium by NEA for the festival. On which all the members of the society expressed their gratitude to the president Vipin Malhan.
SSCA President Subhash Agarwal welcomed all the guests, judges, teachers and children who came to the competition. While convener Vimalesh Sharma thanked NEA and Lions Club, Noida for supporting the 14th Noida Basant Mahotsav. The event was moderated by Dr. Shweta Tyagi, Cultural Coordinator. He said that this prestigious program was started 14 years ago to create a sense of pride in children towards the culture of their country. Which has now become the identity of the city.
Society treasurer Narendra Kuchhal, former secretary Dinesh Bhardwaj, Dr. Nimesh Kumar, Kanchan Srivastava, PK Gupta, Ramavatar Shastri, Ranjan Tomar, Prabha Gupta, Ankita and Devendra attended the Noida Basant Mahotsav.
