The Embassy of Ukraine in India, in collaboration with the European Union Delegation to India and Bhutan and the Polish Institute New Delhi, hosted a joint commemorative event in the capital to mark four years of war with Russia and twelve years of Ukrainian resistance.

Held at Alliance Française de Delhi, the evening opened with a minute of silence to honor those who have lost their lives defending Ukraine’s freedom and sovereignty.

The program included a screening of the documentary Porcelain War, which highlights artists in Kharkiv striving to preserve Ukrainian cultural identity despite the ongoing conflict. A curated photo exhibition titled The Eyes of War showcased compelling images by Polish photographers, capturing the human dimension of the war.

In his address, Ambassador H.E. Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk reaffirmed Ukraine’s determination amid continued hostilities. Dr. Ewa Suwara of the EU Delegation emphasized Europe’s continued support, while Dr. Piotr Antoni Świtalski of the Embassy of Poland in India expressed Poland’s solidarity with Ukraine.

The event concluded with a message of unity and resilience, underscoring Ukraine’s enduring strength in challenging times.
